Lieke van der Vegt
As a performance artist and theatre maker, I move along the shifting borders between experiential theatre and visual art, somewhere in the twilight zone between the theatrical and the museal. I create performances, yet I deliberately drift away from familiar formats and expectations. My work explores new ways of encountering art, where audience, space and moment continuously reshape one another.

Alongside her individual artistic practice, Lieke van der Vegt forms one half of Studio Vegt, a collaborative studio working at the intersection of performance, visual storytelling and spatial experience. Within this partnership with her sister (Anne van der Vegt) she develops concepts that move fluidly between stage, public space and exhibition contexts. She is also the CO-founder of Cobold, an initiative through which she initiates community and meet-ups between artists from all disciplines in and around Zwolle, the Netherlands.
